Creatives Like Us.

A Service Design Workshop

It’s a crisp Thursday evening in mid-October 2025, the final workshop of the year hosted by Creatives Like Us. A diverse collective gathers, some taking their first steps into business, others navigating their start-up journeys with confidence.

At the heart of the evening’s fireside chat is Story Visualization by David Oku, @d.okuart, whose work spans illustration, animation, and art direction. David shares insights on partnerships, unexpected opportunities, and adaptive approaches, sparking curiosity and inspiration throughout the room.

Glasses in hand, participants dive into conversations that range from encouragement to strategy. They explore service design for micro-setups, market positioning, product and service offerings, and how these shape business growth. Collaboration is constant: brands, ideal clients, packages, and the importance of project work are all on the table.

But the evening is also about connection. Between deep discussions, participants enjoy ‘top-up’ chats, starters, dinner, and drinks, moments that allow ideas and relationships to flourish organically.

Project Founders Ayo Abbas, Vanessa Belleau, and Angela Lyons.
