OsanNimu is featured in UK Trade & Investment SpringBoard Magazine’s Jan/Feb 2014 article ”The Fifth Bric – Why Africa should be on your export map”. The article is about UK PLC’s shared priorities in specific industry sectors across Africa where opportunities to increase bilateral trade, stimulate growth and open up job creation are opening up
Our range of work include retainer design strategy services for clients based in Lagos and Nairobi and increasingly strategic partnerships. An example of this type of partnership is one we are developing with Value Added in Africa with a focus on fast moving consumer goods. We are currently collaborating on a project for Iriaini Tea Factory Ltd, Kenya located in Nyeri to enhance their market responsive capability – brand strategy, sourcing, packaging and distribution for markets in continental Europe, Ireland and the UK.
With the ethical sector in the UK and Ireland becoming innovative, competitive and sophisticated, producers exporting internationally and regionally now realize they require market responsive product development, digital and branded packaging strategies. Access to market knowledge, consumer insights, technology know-how and skills exchange are also having a constructive impact on producer communities, their revenues and local capacity, along with savings on product development costs.
We are also working with local and international publishers to develop digital and print publication strategies across sectors – business, non-fiction and fictional literature.
Existing African export oriented sectors and in-market growth present opportunities for value chain development to increase export business opportunities and to stimulate premium (not luxury) consumption patterns within domestic emerging middle class market.
